Violent or abusive behaviour

Zero Tolerance Policy

We are committed to providing a safe, respectful environment for all patients and staff. Aggressive, abusive or violent behaviour will not be tolerated in any form. This includes behaviour in person, over the telephone, or in writing such as emails or social media.

Unacceptable behaviour includes threatening or abusive language, raised voices, shouting or swearing, offensive or discriminatory remarks, physical intimidation or violence, malicious allegations, abusive gestures, damage to practice property, or behaviour that causes distress or fear to staff or other patients.

If a patient behaves in this way, they will be asked to stop immediately and the incident will be recorded. Continued unacceptable behaviour may result in a formal warning. In serious cases, such as threats or physical violence, the police will be contacted and the patient may be removed from our list without warning.

We ask all patients to treat our staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
