Patient confidentiality

We respect your right to privacy and are committed to keeping all your health information secure and confidential. It is essential that the NHS maintains accurate and up‑to‑date medical records so that everyone involved in your care can provide you with the best possible treatment.

Our practice receives a large volume of correspondence each day. The administration team is responsible for distributing these documents to the appropriate clinicians. To ensure correspondence is processed promptly and safely, our admin team may open letters addressed to GPs, including those marked confidential, so they can take the necessary action. Please be assured that all information is handled in the strictest confidence and every member of staff adheres fully to our confidentiality policy.

Some information may be used for internal management or audit purposes, but it is typically only accessed by those directly involved in your care.

You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you would like to request access to your medical records, please contact the practice.
